Best 2015 Outfits

My official first full year recap! Can you guess which outfits I'll include?!

January
Still one of my all time favorites

February
This was so so so much fun! I may have looked crazy in suburbia NJ, but it was worth it!

March
I think my full midi skirt obsession on the blog started with this outfit haha
it was just so comfy and I never had to worry about my food pouch (aka stomach) popping out!

April
Pink on pink = can't go wrong!
Ironically, did not get to wear this on Wednesday...

May
My favorite dress from Eshakti (until recently...because I bought more haha)

June
I would never buy Reformation full price (can't justify the price tag for the materials), but I bought it thrifted online from ThredUp! I was my addiction for a good couple of weeks. I had to ween myself off from checking the site everyday...for my savings' safety haha
I know >.< I cheated. Please don't hate me. I just love these two too much!! And this was another purchase from ThredUp. Yah..I really wasn't kidding about the shopping addiction haha

July
Asos, you just get me.

August

WARNING.
I tried really really really hard to only pick one...and failed hahah so now you get to recap even more

September
My favorite vintage dress. It was my mother's, and it was a side of her that I never saw. It wasn't until after her passing when I had to pack her clothes that I found such colorful, vibrant sundresses. She got so caught up in the day to day taking care of me and my dad that she forgone dressing up. I keep all of her summer dresses. I will give them a new lease on life, and try my best to keep wearing them even after kids. No putting off what I can do today til tomorrow. Enjoying today while I can.

October

November
One of my most popular outfits to date. Kinda crazy! To think, it started out with me just wanting to wear this dress to work without being cold!

Not really an outfit photo per se...more like an outfit photo version for a handbag...haha. Taking out my new favorite bag out for a spin!

December

Holiday Look: Twirling Tullle Outfit from Eshakti

Sleeveless Red Top | Armani
Tulle Skirt | Eshakti
Black & Gold Necklace | Vintage
Clear Perspex Clutch | DIY
Silver Pumps | BCBG

I seem to fall more in love with Eshakti with each order. I actually ordered this skirt with really really ridiculously low hopes. I saw the typical tulle skirt and wanted it so bad. But I couldn't justify the high price tag so I decided to snatch up a tulle skirt from Eshakti. It didn't look poofy like other skirts so I was worried I'd hate it, which in retrospect seems silly because I should have known that I will love literally everything I get from Eshakti.

When the skirt came in, I put it on and just swooshed left to right for 5 minutes (I was too preoccupied to notice Chris giving me a weird look from across the room). It wasn't poofy, but it was still light and airy and just as magical.

After pairing it with a vibrant red top, I decided to wear it to my family Christmas dinner. It's got elastic in the back of the skirt for that extra helping of food. The tulle gives it a little extra something special, perfect for the holidays. It's so much fun that I can't wait to re-debut it for NYE!!!

Holiday Look: Black & White Houndstooth

Strapless Houndstooth Midi Dress | Boutique 1861
Ruby MC Mini | Strathberry
B&W Pumps | Schutz

If you're still looking for the perfect dress for your holiday party or are into dresses that are a bit different from the crowd, then you should check out Boutique 1861. It's why I've bought more than I care to admit from them! Eek! :X

Like this dress is sheer perfection. It's beautifully tailored, great hounds tooth print, and made with quality materials. I mean, hounds tooth is awesome. Why can't I ever find more of it in stores?? No, seriously, why??? It's black and white, but patterned so it's not boring. How do you not love it?

I digress... This dress gives me so much room to eat, drink, and breathe, which are essential to surviving the holiday season! :P  Plus, when I slipped it on, I just felt amazing despite the weight gain from this holiday season. (Don't get me started. I had my physical today, and the scale was scarier than the multiple needles poking into me).

I really can't stop gushing over this dress though. It is one of my favorites right now. It is simple but never boring. Classic but not outdated. It is perfection known as Boutique 1861.

Eshakti Gingham Style: Winter Edition

Gingham Dress | Eshakti
Grey Turtleneck | Asos
Pumps | Schutz

I abuse turtlenecks. They are warm. They are classic. And they go perfectly with all my summer dresses like this one from Eshakti. (You might remember it from this post).

I went out to brunch with a few friends, and wanted to wear a dress. Despite the cold, I manned up and got through it with just a turtleneck (and maybe my beige pea coat not seen in these shoots haha).

I seriously love Eshakti though and they are always running some serious deals like the Cyber Monday one, which I totally splurged on, and bought a skirt and a dress for the holiday season :X

It's totally ok, and my wallet agrees...I stand by my decision haha

Holiday Look: Seeing Red (Dress)

Red Skater Dress | Zara
Beige Peacoat | Old
Ruby MC Mini | Strathberry

Holidays are upon us so time to get ready for holiday parties!

I bought this dress a few years ago, but at the time, I was hesitant to ever wear such bright vibrant colors, but I just couldn't pass it up. I loved how the red could pass for festive during the holiday season and romantic the rest of the year. Fast forward 4 years and one blog later, I now wear bright lip colors, bright pops of color, and a ton of prints.

This dress is perfect for a holiday party at a friend's! In my opinion, it's a bit short for an office party, but then again I work for an old fashioned petrochemical company.

The thing I love most about this dress is the thickness of the fabric. I can tell it'll keep me warm on those frosty December nights. And the faux leather panels at my waist give it a cinching effect so I can eat through the night ;)
