Blogiversary: 1 Year

As my blog turns one year older (YAYYY!), I have decided it is time for my blog to grow in content and topics. As I become interested in new things, I want to share them with you.

What does this mean for you?

It means more content in the form of more posts. I've arranged my schedule to have an additional post each week. It encompasses old loves like baking and DIYs to new loves like Kickstarter campaigns and reviews. If you forget the new schedule I've added a 'schedule' tab at the top of my blog.

So what will I be writing about & when?

• 1st Thrusday: Recipe of my latest craving
• 2nd Thursday: DIY instructions of my latest obsession
• 3rd Thursday: Most recent brand or Kickstarter campaign I'm obsessing over!
• 4th Thursday: Recent purchases & review
• 5th Thursday: (where applies) Whatever tickles my fancy :P

For the month of August, I will be making an exception to this schedule.
WHY?
Because I have a ton of Kickstarter campaigns I'm passionate about and want you guys to have the chance to join in! It'll also give you an inside look at what interests me outside of fashion. And to be honest, I am seriously hooked on Kickstarter. I find myself looking through new projects everyday. There are so many innovative ideas in one place!

Anywho, if you would like to see something else on the blog, let me know! I'd love to hear what you guys think :)

I'm busting out all my summer dresses before the season ends. But then again, as one of my favorite shows stated, "it's never too late [for summer dress]."

I especially like the detail on the sleeves. The eyelet design makes it breathable if the summer heat decides to come back. The loose fit is also forgiving for when your eyes are bigger than your stomach (I especially can't help myself when it's these lemon bars!). I would live in this dress if I could, but people are just not that open minded.

I hope everyone has awesome Labor Day plans. I'm looking forward to a mini "staycation" aka a vacation that's relaxing yet doable over a long weekend (like a marathon of Parks & Rec!). I'll hopefully finish my first ever DIY. I am ridiculously excited over this. I'll be releasing a sneak peek on instagram so remember to check me out @dearsunnylove.

Time flies...

Or at least I wish it did.

At the airport, waiting to board my flight. I'm finally seeing my family for more than the span of a few days, and I'm absolutely ecstatic! Although the 15 hour flight is going to painful, it is absolutely worth every second.

Hopefully, I'll be able to update daily while away :) See you all soon (I hope!).

dear sunny (&potential future readers!)

It’s my first post, and I’m not quite sure how to start it. Should I do a brief introduction or an in-depth explanation of my reason for starting this blog? Do I start with outfit posts from the get go or ease myself into the virtual fashion blog world? Oh dear, I do believe I’m at a crossroads. And this little rant is actually a carefully thought out and edited version of myself in person.

I suppose the polite thing to do is to first introduce myself. My name is Yvonne; how do you do? Why am I starting this blog you ask? Well, it’s a good outlet for all that was left unsaid throughout the day at the end of the day. Also I may emotionally dump on you sometimes, so please forgive me in advance. It’s been a pleasure meeting you! I do hope we get to know each other better as time goes on (:
